Day 9 Christmas Blog Challenge

Day 9: Favorite Holiday Recipe

I love most of the holiday eats. I love the food. I love the sweets. I love it all...especially when chocolate or ice cream is involved :) Seriously, have probably gained 5 pounds this holiday season and it is just now December 1st. Talk about a major New Year's Resolution that I seriously gotta stick to :)

I am not the biggest fan of having turkey and mashed potatoes for holiday meals. I think when I have my own little family (well with kiddos) I want to have something a little more delicious. Maybe homemade lasagna or a deliciously BBQ'd steak or carne asada burritos. Not quite sure. But my favorite recipes are desserts...not the actual meal. I am totally a sweets fan.

I absolutely LOVE snickerdoodles. They are so yummy and to me are such a staple for the holidays. Could be the cinnamon sugar that they get drenched in?? I think so :) I love the smell. I love the taste. I love everything about them...even the snickerdoodle ice cream :)

Well I don't have a specific recipe because I am not the person that makes is usually Aarika. I just eat them :) She makes a delicious peppermint bark though. Go check out her blog to get the recipe. :)
Can't wait to see all the recipes you ladies post.
Maybe I will actually have to make something this year...or not ;)
Happy Holidays!!! :-)

Snickerdoodles are probably my #1 favorite cookie - even more than chocolate chip and sugar! I don't make them for the holidays but I do make them at other times of the year. SO good!

Peppermint bark is good too. I made it last year for everyone in my family since I couldn't afford gifts for the relatives I usually shopped for. I think everyone liked it :)
