Fitness Friday

First off, I just have to say how a.m.a.z.i.n.g. I have been feeling great since we started working out again. Seriously, it is like a huge weight has been lifted off my hips shoulders. I feel so healthy and light and fit and in shape. I knew it wouldn't take long to feel like this since my body just had to get it's muscle memory back in full swing again. I feel like a new person...does that sound totally weird?
Secondly, I know I am not a heavy person. I know I am not fat at all. But I do know that there are spots on my body that I would like to tone up and build some muscle. Trust me, every.single.girl. has body issues, no matter the size of their pants. Now that I have been working out like a mad woman :) My clothes fitting more how I like them..finally!!! My work pants, cargo type from the wonderful Target, were fitting tight in the waist and hips since I started working there since October's end. Now they are totally loose and actually I am needing a belt. I am beyond ecstatic!!! I am not trying to lose weight here ladies, I am just losing fat and toning up my body. My lovies are going away, pretty soon they will be totally gone...I just know it :)
And when they are, I feel that I deserve a new pair of jeans...Hudson's here I come :)
Lastly, I cannot remember if I mentioned this last time, so I will mention it again just in case. The workouts hubby and I do usually involve an interval timer. You can buy one here or if you have an iPhone you can download an app for free (we did this back when we had an iPhone). We couldn't find an interval timer at any sports store...they actually had no idea what we were talking about.
Another thing...hubby makes up a lot of the workouts we do, but we also use a lot of workouts from this website. It actually comes down to a combination of both, just depends on the day and how intense we want the workout to be. Also if you read these workouts you may not think they are too difficult...I just have to tell you are you totally wrong, unless you are already a super crazy workout fien. Otherwise, these workouts (if done correctly) will get your heart pumping and will totally exhaust you.

Friday
Body Weight
set timer for 10 minute count down
(Legs in squat position...about 3 feet apart)
2 jumps forward, 10 high knees (5 each leg), drop down and jump up
then
2 jumps backwards, 10 high knees (5 each leg), drop down and jump up
after
Jump Rope~ 10 minutes
(10 rounds of 45 seconds with 15 seconds rest)

Saturday
Intense Interval Strength Training~ 24 minutes
set timer for 24 rounds of 50 seconds with 10 seconds of rest
Mountain Climber Sprints
Single Leg Raises Using Pull Up Bar
Mountain Climber Sprints
Sandbag Squat and Leg Kick Up 40 lb
Mountain Climbers
Dips with Legs Straight Out in Front of Body
after
Jump Rope~ 10 minutes
(10 rounds of 50 seconds with 10 seconds rest)
{Side note: this was one crazy ass heck of a workout}

Sunday

Cardio and Abs
{4 sets}
100 fast/intense jump rope then immediately 30 crunches on stability ball 
then
{5 sets of  45 seconds with 5 second rest}
Ab Wheel (front and diagonal)
Stability Ball Ab Tuck
then
Interval Training
20 seconds with 5 second rest
intense jump rope
and
immediately into jumping jacks

Monday
Cardio and Back
{3 sets}
100 fast/intense jump rope
then
 5 assisted pull ups
{3 sets}
100 fast/intense jump rope
then 10 push ups

Tuesday
Cardio and biceps
{15 round of 60 seconds with 10 seconds rest}
jump rope, 20 lb curls with sandbag, jump rope, 20 lb hammer curls with sandbag

Wednesday
Rest Day!

Thursday
{15 rounds of 60 seconds with 10 second rest}
Stability Ball Squat
Sandbag Multiplanar Step Up 40 lb (switch raised leg each time)
One Leg Stand Up From Low Chair
then
{10 rounds of 60 seconds with 10 second rest}
Jump Rope
Side Note: My legs are already shaky and jello-y.
I am sure I will be pretty sore tomorrow morning, which is great because I love that feeling!!! :)

I am feeling great. I love working out 6 days a week.
Even if we don't do a hardcore work out, something is better than nothing.

Today is day number 7 of working in a row. I have Saturday off, then on for another 5 days. I am so grateful I have this job and that I am working at least 30 hours a week. I am now able to have insurance (finally!!!) and getting decent paychecks for having a minimum wage job.

I'm so impressed!!! I'm doing a lot of running right now, but I don't always have patience for the gym. I totally agree that every single one of us has a bone to pick with our body...that's the wonderful thing about working out: you know you're helping make everything better! That's awesome! I wish my husband and I could workout together, but we have completely different schedules!

I just started working out and training for a half marathon and I know how you feel. You feel so completely light and just energized! Keep up the good work even though you are already beautiful and perfect just the way you are!

I'm impressed! I joined a gym a couple weeks ago and I'm already getting bored with my same routine. It's nice to see other ideas!

Wow! I'm so happy for you! I would love to be able to workout with my hubby...it'd help me be more consistent with it!!

So glad that you are getting to work more and able to have insurance! Hooray!!

I love that you do totally different workouts! That's probably why you're seeing results because you're confusing your body. Great job! I need to take notes from you :)
