Fitness Fridays

January 1st was the day we all made a commitment to ourselves to work out. To be healthy. To not be lazy. To be active, again. Hubby, Aarika and I have been working out together every day...Aarika may have missed a day or two because of work schedules, but all in all we all three have been staying committed. Momma is doing it too, she is just on a different work out plan from us...hubby trains her. I feel 100% better. I love the feeling after a sweaty intense workout. I am so focused on working out, I make it happen, even if I am tired from getting up at o'dark thirty to open at good ol' Starbucks.
I love this feeling!!

I decided every Friday I am going to post the work out I did that week. The schedule will be from Friday to Thursday. This will be a great way for me to keep myself accountable and a great way for me to see my improvement over time.

Weight Training
Stability Ball Seated Shoulder Press 8 lb
Stability Ball Seated Curls 8 lb
Shoulder Side Raises 5 lb
Shoulder Front Raises 5 lb

Endurance Training
Weighted Jump Rope~ 5 sets of 100 reps
Push Ups~ 5 sets of 12 reps

Snow Day!!!

High Intensity Interval Training
(5 sets of 30 second intervals with 10 seconds of rest in between)
Stability Ball Squats with Weighted Curls with 8 lb Dumb bells
Side Step Ups with 40 lb Sandbag Raise Above Head
In Place Lunges with Body Weight

Endurance Training
Weighted Jump Rope~ 5 sets of 100 reps
Push Ups~ 5 sets of 12 reps

Rest Day

Interval Training
(5 sets of 60 second intervals with 10 seconds of rest in between)
Jump Rope
Lower/Upper Back Sandbag Lifts 40 lb
Weight Training

Stability Ball Back Flies 5 lb
Stability Ball Tricep Pulls 5 lb
Pull Up Hangs ~ 2 sets of 30 seconds

Some days won't be as intense as others because of the time I have to be at work that day or the next, so it will all depend on how exhausted I am. Like Wednesday night I went to be at 10:30pm and had to be up at 3:30am, so Thursday's work out was a little less difficult because I was so exhausted by 6:00pm.

Have a great weekend!!! :-D

Such a great idea to keep track on your blog! I need to keep track, period. It'd be nice to be able to really measure my progress weights-wise.

Way to go! But be careful: my mom lifted weights for a while during the fall and also did Zumba. She ended up pulling a muscle in her arm (her elbow, I think) and can't work out for a while because of it.

But at the same time, I wish I knew where to start with lifting weights. I might get a personal trainer at our gym after I graduate in June and earn a little moolah :)

Here's to progress! Happy weekend!
