Off To College

My littlest sister, Lauren, is growing up.
She moved to Northern California to attend Humbolt University on Monday.
She is going to school for Botany Business Administration.
Daddy-o drove her up there and I believe she started school Tuesday or maybe later this week. Either way, she is gone :( She is experiencing college just how I wished I would have. I just know she is going to have the time of her life up there. She is so excited to get away and start a fresh new life :) I am beyond ecstatic for her.

I cannot believe she is a college student though. I remember all three of my sisters sitting in the backyard with their chubby little bodies playing barbies. And now they are all grown crazy how time flies!!
Lauren is the youngest of all my siblings. She is the baby. She is daddy-o's baby. She was the one we would all go to if we wanted donuts or pizza because if Laur asked daddy-o we would get it for sure. She is the baby of the family, even though she is almost 19 years old, she is still the baby and that is how I will always think of her :)
Lauren, you have grown into a beautiful woman. You are so strong. You are so smart. You are someone I can always count on to stand beside me and stand up for me. You are hilarious.
You are my baby sister.
I love you so much!!!

Last year daddy-o, Lauren, Kelley and I all drove up to see Humbolt. We drove to see if that was truly the school she wanted to go to. Can I just tell you this was the l.o.n.g.e.s.t. drive of my entire life. This trip was literally a 24 hour trip. We drove up, stopped at a hotel to sleep, got up early the next morning and finished driving. We walked around the campus, which by the way is beautiful with all the green trees and fresh air, tooks loads of photos (see below) then drove home. It was a fast trip. It was a trip full of Starbucks. It was a trip with lots of chatting. It was a trip with fighting arguing between Laur and Kell. But it was a great, memorable, fun trip because it is the only time daddy-o has been alone for such a long time with all his girls :)
daddy-o and his girls :)

I am so excited for you Lauren. I know you will have the time of your life away at college.
Live it up.
Enjoy it all.
Have fun.
Be safe.
I love you!

what a sweet post about your sister. I wish I had attended a 4 yr college. I stuck with community college for 1 1/2 years than had to give it up due to hubbs military crap. I hope your sister has the time of her life! :)

College was the greatest thing that I've done! I learned so much and grew up a WHOLE lot!! Good luck to your baby sister!! My baby sister is getting married this summer and I feel the same way, like "are you old enough to be getting married??"
