Feels Like Home

Yesterday was an absolutely g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s. day!!
I know I have said that like every.single.day. since I got home to California,
but seriously...not even kidding it was wonderful outside :)

Tony and I drove down to Long Beach Huntington Beach for his interview yesterday.
There was no traffic...shockingly.
We were so grateful for thank :)
But one thing that was a tad annoying...
I think the ENTIRE 405 has construction.
Seriously, from the 118 all the way down to at least Huntington
there was construction.
For those of you who have no clue what I am talking about
that is about and hour to an hour and a half of construction on the freeways
Pure craziness!!
But I guess we gotta keep California employed somehow huh?

Anyways, while Tony was at his interview I sat at good ol' Starbucks and had my Iced Coffee :)
About and hour and a half later his interview was over with.
He said it went well and they want to meet with him again next week,
so lots of prayers. This would be his dream job!!
Oh, I guess I could say what the job is huh? Because I am sure you all are dying to know
It is to work for a private K9 company.
{Tony was military police K9 in the Marines}

After the interview, we decided to charge on credit card treat ourselves to lunch by the ocean
{insert big smile}
We went to Main St. in Huntington and ate at

and this was our view

Eating lunch and looking out to the ocean made me so happy. I seriously left like I have finally gotten home.
When we drove down PCH to the restaurant, we had the most cheeseball grins on our faces.
Very similar to this

At Fred's you of course get chips and salsa, which by the way is delicious.
I love their salsa. You know generally if the salsa is delicious, the food will be too.
And it was. We split a carne asada burrito.
y.u.m.m.i.n.e.s.s!!

Oh.My.Gosh!!!
We were stuffed after lunch, but being that I am a girl who can always always find enough room in my tummy for ice cream/yogurt/gelato.
We parked right in from of a gelato place, so I made sure Tony knew we were stopping in there once we were done.

We got Heath Bar Gelato.
Ahh!!!mmaazzing!!!

Ok, now we were beyond stuffed. I totally wanted to unbutton my top button on my pants, but I thought that would be kinda silly. So I just sucked it in while we walked to the beach, like 10 feet away lol

I couldn't wait to get my feet in the sand.
So warm.
So clean.
So soft.
Oh how I missed it so so much!

Tony was dressed up for his interview, so he didn't get in the sand...but no worries I still managed to get a photo of him with the palm trees in the background :)

 I decided when we move down to Huntington Beach or San Diego, I want a bright pink beach cruiser,
just like this one

Being down by the beach, I really felt like I am home.
If you know me, you know I want to permanently live at the beach...always have.
I love southern California beaches, specifically Huntington Beach and San Diego beaches.
If you haven't been to California, when you come you must go to at least one of these places.
You will not want to leave.
Simply beautiful.

Feels Like Home
{finally}

Cute pics! I was just in that area visiting on our honeymoon! We were on our way back from HI and stopped in CA for a couple days. I think there was a cold front coming through when we visited because it was a little chilly but it was still beautiful out! Glad you had a nice time with the hubby!
