I Am A Regular

There is a Starbucks right around the corner from our house.
I go there every.single.morning often.
I get the same thing.
So naturally the girls that work there begin to recognize me.

There are two in particular who are very friendly now.
They know my name. They start brief conversations.
They are the kind of baristas you want working at Starbucks.

I walk up to the register. They say 'Hi Lindsay'.
I know there names. We are tight ;)
Just kidding. I only know because it is on their aprons.
{Which I think is super cute by the way.}

They begin to write on the cup before I even begin to speak.
They know my drink. I come in way too often.

I wait at the counter. Chit chatting with other customers or the baristas.
Do you do this or is it just me?
Hubs says sometimes that I am too friendly. Is this possible?
But he also says I can be rude and bitchy to people too
{guess we all have different sides to our personalities huh?}

They hand me my drink.
Then hand me the non-fat milk carafe.
They remember.
They pay attention.
They know my routine.
They know how I like my drink.

Our favorite restaurant is Outback.
I know I have said this many many times :)
We now go to the same one.
In Thousand Oaks.
For the past four times we sit in the same section {we don't ask, they just put us there}
We have the same waiter.
He knows our order.
He knows we like the sweet honey butter. Lots of rolls.
He know we love steak.
He is a great waiter that takes care of us when we go there.

I never thought I would be one of those people that is a regular at a store/restaurant.
My mom is. With her diet coke. I  make fun of her. Now I am that person.

It is these kind of people that make you go to the same location every time.
It is these kind of people that make going out/getting coffee/shopping a better experience.

I used to get so embarrassed by being "a regular." I would deliberately go out of my way to other stores to get my Diet Coke because I was afraid that the people would be talking about how stupid I am that I drink so much Diet Coke. Then I just decided to own it and I have found out just how friendly people can be. Amazing what happens when you push through your fears ;)

It's amazing how your level of loyalty will increase at a place when they know your name and what you like. It provides that sense of community that we all love and crave!

Being a regular is a great thing...we appreciate them and vice versa :)

I actually became friends with a Barista I met at Starbucks (who no longer works there)! I was in so often there were a couple of them who knew my order. I know what you mean, it's nice to have someone know exactly what you want, it's personable! A much better experience.
