A Fun Weekend

This past weekend was pretty eventful. I got out of the house...quite a bit actually. It felt wonderful, although it totally wore me out. Fail on my part...no photos :-( Mom came into town and we hung out with her all.weekend.long! :) I loved it. I really miss having her around.
Friday night she took Tony and I to dinner at Wood Ranch BBQ. A steak sandwich, lots of garlic rolls, and shredded onions dips in ranch. Delicious is an understatement.
Saturday mom and I went to the mall to return Christmas gifts. Now this outing was much more exhausting. First, we stopped by Starbucks. Mom got me a decaf coffee.

Once we got to the mall, we stopped by Godiva to get our free piece of chocolate for the month :) Oh yea!!! Finally we made our way to the stores. After all that walking, oh like a total of 100 yards, I had to take a break. So we shared some salted, buttered pretzel bites.
Then made our way to Nordstroms, because what is a mall trip without stopping there. And truth be told, I didn't spend a dime. So proud!! By the time we got home, I was so freakin exhausted instead of cooking dinner we decided to order pizza, wings and bread sticks and watch some movies.
Never ever rent Catch .44, the worst movie ever made!!! Abduction was ok. A little more entertaining. Thank God for Redbox being $1.00
Sunday we just piddled around the house for a bit. I went to Urban Home with mom. Then she headed out to her hotel and do some things in Simi, while Tony and I did a bit of grocery shopping. We decided we wanted to surprise mom, so we drove out to Simi and hung out with her the rest of the day/night. She was so happy! Why should she hang out alone when in town...hang out with her favorite couple of course! So we went to the movies and saw Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. Oh my word, it tugs at your heart. Good movie, a bit depressing. But the little boy did amazing!!! I recommend it for sure. And for dinner, we stopped at Sharkey's.
Thanks for a fun weekend and getting me out of the house momma!! :) We love you!!

I have a serious problem with malls and their pretzel shops... I LOVE them too much. I have to get pretzels with nacho cheese dipping sauce every shopping trip :)

Went to Nordstroms and didn't spend anything?!! I am impressed!!! I can barely make it out of there without buying something.

LOVE Wetzel Pretzel Bites. I wish they sold these at the grocery store. I would eat them every day!
