hello december!

Happy Best Month Ever!!!
My birthday and Christmas within 16 days of each other.... doesn't get much better!
Although...

This is the last week of my 20's. I will no longer be a twenty-something.
I am headed into the big leagues of the third decade of my life. And I'm not too sure how I feel about this.
I am scared out of my mind to be getting older. That may sound so lame, but it's so true.
I am excited to see what this first year of being a thirty year old will bring me.
I am nervous to get more wrinkles and gray hairs. Thank God for anti-aging cream & hair dye.
I am happy to be entering another year of this precious life we are all given. To be sharing it with those that mean the most to me...near and far.

I hear 30 is the new 20...someone please confirm this! ;)

Now that I got that out of the way...
Thanksgiving was pretty low key in these parts. It was just two sisters and us. Nothing crazy. Totally relaxing. Obviously delicious.
These were all the photos I got  ::insert sad face::
I honestly have no idea what we did Friday. All I know is we made pizza for dinner. Sounds super exciting, I know ;) Oh yea, I remember...I met up with some girl friends to get fitted for bridesmaid dresses. On my way home from the crazy rain, I saw this pretty little rainbow :)

Saturday night was date night to Universal City Walk.
Buffalo wings, steaks, a Long Island the size of a milk pitcher.
A free shot because it is the week of my birthday. #winning!!
Sunday morning we sat outside at Starbucks basking in the 80 degree weather for about two hours. It was pure heaven. I enjoyed one of my favorite holiday drinks...Salted Caramel Mocha. If you haven't tried it, go now! I promise you won't be disappointed ;) Tony had a wonderful idea to brave the mall nearby...and shockingly it wasn't packed at all. Like at.all. So bizarre. But good for us :) I bought myself some Christmas presents at Victoria Secret. Then we headed out to get our Christmas tree. Brought it home, decorated and of course watched Miracle on 34th Street. Family tradition.

A new sandwich market opened up down the street and I have been so eager to try it...Mendocino Farms. O-M-G!! For all you sandwich lovers, go now! It was delicious and fresh and I am sure we will now become regulars. I got the Turkey Avocado. Delicious! Tony got the Turkey Meatball. Tasty!
And one of the best parts, it is close enough to walk. Love being in walking distance of so many things.
The evening consisted of Christmas movies galore and a bottle of wine ;)
Happy December!!

30's are like kind of best of all worlds. You're still young enough to have loads of energy, and you now are a little more mature so you have not everything is a huge drama. Hope you have a wonderful birthday!
