my 30th birthday weekend

Saturday the 7th began the 30th birthday celebrations. My thinking was to celebrate for 3 days....one day for every decade. And that is exactly what we did. Saturday morning, the 7th, Tony and I got up and went shopping. And by we I totally mean I. I bought myself a few cute things to put under the Christmas tree :) And of course I had to buy a new top for our date that night. Birthdays mean new outfits.
That evening Tony surprised me by going to The Cannery in Newport Harbor. Seriously one of my favorite places. I was stoked when I figured out that's what was for dinner. Some drinks, some appetizers and sushi, and best part is Tony had surprise me with the best cake ever...Susie Cakes funfetti!!! Yum!!!
One more surprise that night...an L.A. Kings hockey game. We have been itching to go to a game for so long. It was a blast. A beer or two and fighting ;)

Sunday morning, mom and the girls (aka two of the sisters) came over for a family birthday celebration. It involved and hour or two of hanging out in the sun at Starbucks. Seriously, family time is the best!! I just missed my most favoritest person, Aarika {I know you are reading this and probably crying}.
Later in the day we went to see About Time. Seriously the cutest movie. A tear-jerker for sure, but go see it!! Then dinner at Lazy Dog Cafe. Fun times with the family.
Monday, my actual birthday!, we woke up and headed to Balboa Island because Tony bought me a PADDLEBOARD!!!! OH-EM-GEE!!! I am in love!! My new favorite outdoors activity. It was freezing and windy, but we did it! And we didn't fall! Booyah! ;)
That evening, mom and Tony surprised me with all my friends at a Mexican restaurant. I walked in, and there were all my closest friends sitting at the table, one friend who I haven't seen in almost two years! I was so surprised, it totally made my day. It was such a fun night.
My 30th birthday was one of the best birthdays ever! Everything about it was a blast. I got amazing gifts
{a paddleboard, a Matt & Nat purse, VS gift card, clothes, SB gift card}. Spending this special weekend with those that I love so much, not much better. I get emotional just thinking about such special memories.
