birthday weekend recap

All birthdays should be celebrated for more than a day. In this household it seems as though we get three days of fun, anything you wanna do is fair game...even if it involves a tattoo.

Friday we both played hookie, ok no we totally requested time off but hookie sounds so much better. Anyways, per the birthday boy's request: sleep in then head to Chik-Fil-A and Starbucks for breakfast. After breakfast we headed to Malibu to enjoy the gorgeous day and hike through the mountains. Seriously though, it was so peaceful and quite...it was so refreshing. Again, per the birthday boy's request, we stopped by his favorite sandwich place for lunch, Mendocino Farms. To burn the delicious food off, we rollerbladed about 10 miles around a lake/park. This day could not have been better...with the sun shining, being outside the entire day and being together, I was in heaven.

Mom joined us for dinner, and by joined I clearly mean paid ;) So fun getting to spend time with two of my favorite people. Beers, sangrias, and margaritas....heck yes!!! Oh and I cannot forget the endless amount of bread and honey butter requested by the man. Good times!!

Saturday was filled with driving and shopping. With a dinner request of wings, pizza, and beer. Then a cheesecake and dark chocolate milanos for dessert while watching House of Cards.

Sunday morning was a request of pancakes and coffee. A great leg workout. Then the man headed off to get a tattoo. Yup, that was his big birthday gift. I'm such a  good wife ;) Such a great weekend with the hubbs.
