five things

Well hello lovelies! Seems I have been MIA for several days, so much personal stuff going on mind my has been anywhere but on this blog and hardly even on instagram. Anyways, maybe soon I will get into specifics as to my life lately, but right now I just can't. Some things do have to stay personal. But, I am alive and here to tag along on the five for Friday with the lovely ladies.

one} Easter weekend we were up in Fresno, enjoying family time. I didn't take many photos, I was just enjoying the days that were filled with food, drinks and sun.
btw, if you haven't had 805 {brewed here in central cal} try it. It's a fav of ours!

two} We got to go to the gym the four days we were there. Hello amazing workout. Goodbye being able to walk like a normal human being. It was great! Now if we could only afford a gym...

three} Oh yea... I got my hair chopped off. Still getting used to it. Like I have said a million and one times, I am so not a girlie girl. I am so not competent when it comes to using hair products. It is actually quite pitiful. So, it is taking me a bit longer than expected to figure out this new style. But I'll get there. I hope...

four} Tuesday I had a job interview at a hospital in Fresno. I was pretty darn nervous about it because hello a new grad interviewing at a hospital. But I made it through, I survived. Although I don't think I got the job, it was still good experience for me. I was being questioned in front of 3 people, yes 3!!! That didn't calm the nerves. Then I had to show my skills on a super brand new ultrasound machine. This is where I freaked. It was way more advanced than the dinosaur machines I am used to. But oh well, we will see. Staying positive and things like I read on Jasmine Star's FB yesterday keep me going... Rejection: life's way to directing you to something better. Once I get my license, hopefully in the next month, I will be more apt to find great jobs. Which by the way, I have been studying my ass off for and I am so.over.it!!! Soon it will all be behind me, and I can just work and not open another book for a long, long time.

five} My new favorite show is Mad Men. Seriously, I have been missing out for the last 7 years or whatever it's been on. We started watching it a few months ago, are now on Season 3. I love it! Yea, it's a bit slow, but I love the era and fashion and simplicity of the show. How life was back in the day... Last night during an episode where the wife was pregnant, they were out to dinner and had a glass of wine. It took me a second, but I was like wait what?!?! She's pregnant. Then she starting smoking. Oh the innocence of those days. Or lack of knowledge I should say. And let me just say, Christina Hendricks is hot! I love her character and her sarcasm and style. Love her!

six} Breaking the rules a bit and adding one more, because I am super stoked to now be part of Living in Yellow's sidebar. First time I have ever sponsored another blog, and in May I will be featured on her blog as well. So if you are new here, hello :) Thanks for stopping by!

Well this weekend doesn't sound like it will be one for the books. Lots of studying will be involved. Which leads to a drink or two in the evening. If this all sounds fun to you ;-P follow along on insta _lindsayalexis_  for weekend pics. Happy Weekend!!!
