When we found out getting pregnant wasn't going to happen the natural way, we came to terms with knowing we'd need the help of science. Fast forward a few months and I was about to begin my medications, which meant getting ready for baby.
Well I was so nervous to workout like I had been because I didn't want anything to compromise my uterus once the embryos were implanted. So I basically stopped all physical activity. Stupid move in hindsight, but Tony and I made the decision together so I was/am ok with it.
Now that Luca is 6.5 months old, it's time momma get comfortable in her skin again. Don't get me wrong the extra fluff was 100% worth it, but momma wants that bikini body back!!
Growing a baby is no joke. The way your body changes, hello larger hips/bigger ass/thicker love handles/flabby abs. And honestly it's so hard to see my body change. I've always been self conscious about my body, but once Luca arrived, I didn't realize how much had changed. Talk about embarrassment. I know that's a horrible thing to say, but I seriously didn't want Tony to see me naked...I felt that ugly. Going from a body that's toned to a body that's flabby, it got me like woah!! So once I got approval for physical activity, I text my friend Kate and was ready to make a difference!!
The past 3 months I have been feeding myself the best nutrition. I love how convenient this superfood is!! Seriously! I know I'm not a working mom, so I'm sure for those of you who are it'd be the best thing ever!!!!, but when it takes 2 minutes to prepare my breakfast AND lunch I'm all in. Yes 2 minutes and you've got yourself a meal packed with everything with need that'll keep you full and satisfied. Which we all need when we're chasing our kiddos all over the place. A chocolate shake for breakfast is where it's at ;-) Agree?
I cannot wait to see what the next 3 months bring. I know for sure once bikini season, I WILL be rockin' a brand new bikini with my little love in tote ;)
